Developers at Nintendo are looking to make the newest entry in the Luigi’s Mansion franchise surpass the original. Already the game is shaping up to be a thrilling adventure, bringing together new and old.
Taking place in a haunted mansion, Luigi will now have to search and rescue Mario, Princess Peach, and Toad from a variety of specters. Gameplay reveals a selection of new techniques and abilities Luigi will have at his disposal. Meanwhile trailers have shown off a variety of new portrait ghosts to fight, all with the same humor the franchise has been known for.
However there is no comment on whether portrait ghosts from the original series will make an appearance. With the mention of a music studio, fans are hoping the pianist ghost Melody will make a return.
In the meantime fans question the role of the female ghost shown in the trailer. Some suspect that she will act similar to the fortune teller ghost Madame Clairvoya, acting loosely as a guide to solving the game. Yet others wonder if she could be a mini boss.
