Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA gets western audiobook release

Today, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA light novel series will get a western audiobook release. The first volume will be released on December 14, with the English version being read by Asuka’s dubbed voice actress. This series explores an alternate universe within the series itself.

About Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA

Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce, through its Siren imprint for audiobooks, the launch of an audiobook series for Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA by Ikuto Yamashita, Khara, and Yasuo Kashihara. Narrated by Tiffany Grant–known for voicing Asuka Langley Soryu in the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime dub–this is the first-ever English audiobook version of the franchise’s official light novels, which explore an alternate ending to the original anime series.

What if reluctant hero Ikari Shinji had saved the world? Now, at seventeen years old, he is the de facto leader of the EVA team. Under the leadership of Commander Katsuragi Misato, the Evangelion suits have been updated with advanced designs and abilities in preparation for the possible return of the monstrous Angels. Four copies of Ayanami Rei are tasked with operating a global anti-Angel search-and-destroy program. But when one of these clones goes rogue, only Shinji can stop her.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA (Audiobook) Vol. 1 will be released for the first time in English on December 14, 2023. Pre-orders are available now at sevenseasaudiobooks.com
