The movie, produced by Bones, will begin its theatrical run on October 11, 2024 in the U.S. and Canada with both English subtitles and English dub releases.

In addition, a new poster for the North American market was created. The below answers are taken from an international Q&A with Bones Inc. Chief Executive Officer Masahiko Minami.

About My Hero Academia: You’re Next North American Poster

Q1:The US key visual has a different design than the key visual in Japan. How did you approach
the design and creation for this US key visual?

A1:My Hero Academia is a fantastic title with many fans not only in Japan, but also worldwide.
I’ve been aware of the passionate fans in North America since the release of the first film. So
this time around, we wanted to prepare the special visual as a gift to the fans.
Because we wanted to make sure that the visual resonated with fans in North America while
staying true to the MHA franchise, we worked closely with our local partners going through
several rounds of feedback. Focusing on just the movie-original villain, Dark Might, along with
Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki, might seem like a minimal selection of characters in a way. But I
think we were able to produce a wonderful design with this limited selection, as it amplifies
Dark Might’s mysterious presence while showcasing the three heroes’ dynamic movements in
an impactful way.

Q2: What do you hope fans in North America take from the film? How do you hope it leaves
them feeling?

A2: My Hero Academia: You’re Next encompasses the heroes’ growth throughout the animated
TV series as well as the previous three films, and it’s truly a masterpiece. I hope everyone can
witness how far the characters have come both mentally and physically on the big screen. With
incredible action scenes and inspirational portrayals of the characters striving to become even
better heroes, I think the fans will come to like MHA even more with this film.

Q3: Can you tell us a little bit about Umakoshi-san from Bones who produced this US Key
Visual?

A3: Yoshihiko Umakoshi is one of the super creators, who has been part of the MHA anime
development from the ground up. Being versed in American comics, he cares very much about
the North American fans. Although he tends to be shy, he’s always thinking of ways to make
people happy and I think we were able to produce this striking visual because of his intentions.
