London-based production team Just Just Productions just released their pilot for the upcoming 3D-animated sci-fi series The Heir of Time on YouTube. The team effort follows a cast of diverse characters across an expansive fantasy universe mixed with military science fiction. In addition to the pilot episode, Just Just Productions also released a Kickstarter campaign for Act One to be produced.
About The Heir of Time
Created independently by a team of filmmakers, artists, writers, animators, and actors, The Heir of Time is an ambitious attempt to build an original animated universe outside the traditional studio system. The project combines high fantasy, military science fiction, political conflict, and magic, with a story designed to expand far beyond its first episode.
Set in a galaxy on the brink of war, The Heir of Time follows Sel, an elven princess born with an ancient and dangerous magic. As tensions rise between the galaxy’s major powers, Sel must learn to control her abilities while becoming caught in the political struggles surrounding her fractured kingdom.
Alongside the episode’s release, the team will launch a Kickstarter campaign on August 29 to support the continued development and production of The Heir of Time. The campaign will give viewers and fans an opportunity to directly support the independent creators behind the project and help determine how far the series can go.
