Schrodinger’s Call Rings up a New Story This May

Shueisha Games recently announced that the storybook adventure game Schrodinger’s Call will be available on May 28 for Nintendo Switch and Steam. The game features a distinctive atmosphere where players will experience a world between life and death through a series of emotional phone calls. In addition, a demo is available on Steam, and progress will carry to the full game upon release.

About Schrodinger’s Call

“When the world ends, who is the last person you want to speak to?”

Schrödinger’s Call is a narrative adventure that unfolds like a storybook, weaving together themes of connection, grief, and the quiet hope of being heard. Set in a fleeting 21 nanoseconds between life and death — the moment a moon falls and the world ends — players follow Mary, a girl who awakens in an unfamiliar room with no memories.

Guided by a mysterious cat named Hamlet, Mary becomes the world’s last listener. Through an old telephone, she hears the stories of strangers — the lives they lived, the regrets they carry, and what they still hope for in their final moments.

For players who find meaning in games like Spiritfarer and What Remains of Edith Finch, Schrödinger’s Call offers a rare emotional experience that lingers long after the credits roll.

The free demo for Schrödinger’s Call — which has earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam — is available now and includes the complete Chapter 1 story. Save data from the demo carries over to the full game upon release.
